Community Services Centre, Ste-Anne
Bilingual, Permanent, Part-Time, 0.6 EFT
Union: MAHCP
Shift: Days with occasional evenings and weekends (7.25hrs/day)
Wage/Salary: As per MAHCP collective agreement

Job Summary:

The Community Mental Health Worker provides services to a targeted population defined by the Mental Health program. As a member of the Mental Health team the case manager collaborates with other systems, organizations and individuals to ensure children and youth have access to a well-coordinated service system: assists the client and family to prioritize and focus on achieving optimal health, incorporating a psychosocial rehabilitation recovery focused model; provides comprehensive assessments, interventions and therapeutic support to children/adolescents and their families; provides education and prevention material to individuals, families and the community at large.

Qualifications:

? BSW, BScMH, BScPN, BN, BMR(OT), RN/RPN with four years related experience, or related health/human service education
? Four years directly related community mental health experience
? Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) or prepared to acquire
? Knowledge and understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation, recovery, and empowerment focused practice
? Advanced mental health assessment & intervention skills for adults
? Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and across service sectors
? Knowledge and understanding of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
? Knowledge of the principles of primary health care
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
? Effective networking and agency relation skills
? Bilingual, French and English
